A sweet proposal

You are sitting in his car, next to him, some of your favorite romantic numbers playing behind. He extends his hands and grabs yours, looking into your eyes, he says those 3 magical words that make your heart melt into a “Gooey”

Isn’t it lovely!!! And by the way how are you feeling???

Heart beating at an accelerating pace and you’re just chasing the answer in your heart and every time you gather the courage to reply back, the words fail to come out. The eyes fixed on you, making it tough with every moment passing.

And may I ask you, where have you landed??? Cloud # 9 or the 7th heaven!!!

I used to watch it in the movies and dismiss it either as dramatic or crap but this time when it happened to me… I was seriously helpless. I tried to play with the guy but couldn’t because in my heart I knew the answer. I tried to make it tough for him but my “Dunno” made it tougher for me. So I had to reply him back in the same way he asked. and God! it was all fun...

Ever heard that voice… that echoes in your mind, guiding you day in and day out, separating the “Rights” from the “Wrongs”. Well that voice is not me nor your parents, it’s your!!!

It comes from the person, whom you’re hiding beneath that cloak. The person who hardly gets a say in your life. Often dismissed as unimportant, that voice still reverberates. It just wants to be heard. In the silence of the mind that voice can be heard loud enough, it flashes back all your day’s activities and makes you mull over whatever you’ve done. It praises you for the rights and scolds you for the wrongs. It calls out for the courage in you and shuns the cowardliness. Just listen to that voice and I bet you’ll never need an adviser because that voice has all the solutions you need.

But just listen!!!

“Self pity will get you nowhere.”

“Self pity will get you nowhere.”

Seriously, Shivi come out of it. Recently we 4 friends parted our ways and drifted in 2s. Why? I dunno!!!

And things happened so quick that Shivi and I had no time to think. The person we accused, Moti wasn’t the crook. Some pent up feelings exploded at the wrong time and in a wrong way.

As a cause, it left Shivi and I struck to the bone. Especially Shivi, she keeps on blaming herself for everything since her past was filled with some similar experiences. But for how long would she blame herself, when will she come out of it?

We did try to sort out the differences but all our efforts went down the drain. And in turn we got tagged “Dominating”. For what? Because we didn’t like others calling our friend a “Freak”.

But no use of crying now, what’s done is done and cannot be corrected. I’m happy that I learnt so many things and I didn’t do anything wrong. I just wanna tell Shivi, just come out of it!!!

Doomsday Prediction

What's your take on the prediction, "The world ends in 2012" ?
Crap!, right. But still it does forces you to think upon it, as it had me. Especially when my younger brother told me, "Who needs to study when the world ends in 3 years. Let me enjoy life till then!!!"

I often think, in what condition would I be when the world ends, would I be sleeping or eating or sitting ideal, what? And what would happen after it. Would the Earth's shape change? According to the true rumors around, everything would end; animals, vegetation, etc and the Earth like a Pheonix would emerge out from its own ashes and life would form again. This is the best part because again the cycle of life would start.

Thus, I'll be born again.

Is there an age to watch cartoons???

I was surfing through channels when I happened to come across the famous old cat & mouse, “Tom & Jerry”, I couldn’t help but watching them. Most of the times during this summer vacations you’ll find me watching Shinchan, Samsher Sikander, Phineas & Ferb, Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and so on… my folks tell me to grow up and I ask them is there an age to watch the people you grew up watching??? I believe no and everyone is a kid at heart and kids love watching cartoons.

I miss watching Sylvester & Tweety mysteries, Garfield, Duck tales, Aladdin and so on…

Our modern lexicon

It’s so strange that how certain words & phrases get stuck on our tongue that even when we are not supposed to utter them, they come slipping out of our mouth. Words like "trust me on that" which means believe me, "my bad" which means my fault, etc. My problem is that there are certain words stuck to my tongue, that I use them even when I shouldn't; like the word "meanwhile" its stuck to my tongue in such a way that I use it after every 15 minutes like "meanwhile I'll do this" or "meanwhile you do that" or "meanwhile........ I don't know", told u, even when they aren't required.

Another word which is a problem for me is "fish" it’s actually a code for the word "f***". I use it all the time when I'm happy, when I'm angry, when I'm surprised. It’s like "fish!!! You scared the shit out of me" or "fish; I love it" or "fish man!!! I can't open it". A friend of mine once asked me if that was the first word I uttered as a kid. I never get over with it just overflows from my mouth. And its not my first time, I was once overflowing with the word "actually" and "okay", tried hard to leave them behind and I did succeed but this time these words seem to be glued on my tongue.

This is not my problem, everyone around us is facing it, and it’s like a revolution. And the worst of all is the "SMS lingo", the language we use to text each other. It has made its place in our notebooks beside our cell phones. Like "u" in place of "you", "wen" in place of "when", "ASAP" in place of "as soon as possible". I was going through my brother's notebook and all those words like "u, wen, dey, yrs, g8, so on..." were written, well that is something that the Oxford dictionary won't welcome but this is the modern lexicon.

bored

During my school days I use to eagerly wait for my summer vacations, a long break from school, time to reconnect with family and friends with homework next to you. I use to hate the homework part. But those holidays were never boring.

My first vacations after joining college, bringing an end to my freshmen year. But just in the first week, I feel bored, most of my friends are still busy with their end-term exams, some are holidaying out and some gearing up for their competitive exams. Beside all these the summer heat is killing one can not even think of leaving the house. So all this leaves me behind feeling bored. As it goes “every dark cloud has a silver lining” my silver lining is the traveling part that I’m eagerly waiting for. But till then I’m going to go mad.
