Is there an age to watch cartoons???

I was surfing through channels when I happened to come across the famous old cat & mouse, “Tom & Jerry”, I couldn’t help but watching them. Most of the times during this summer vacations you’ll find me watching Shinchan, Samsher Sikander, Phineas & Ferb, Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and so on… my folks tell me to grow up and I ask them is there an age to watch the people you grew up watching??? I believe no and everyone is a kid at heart and kids love watching cartoons.

I miss watching Sylvester & Tweety mysteries, Garfield, Duck tales, Aladdin and so on…

Our modern lexicon

It’s so strange that how certain words & phrases get stuck on our tongue that even when we are not supposed to utter them, they come slipping out of our mouth. Words like "trust me on that" which means believe me, "my bad" which means my fault, etc. My problem is that there are certain words stuck to my tongue, that I use them even when I shouldn't; like the word "meanwhile" its stuck to my tongue in such a way that I use it after every 15 minutes like "meanwhile I'll do this" or "meanwhile you do that" or "meanwhile........ I don't know", told u, even when they aren't required.

Another word which is a problem for me is "fish" it’s actually a code for the word "f***". I use it all the time when I'm happy, when I'm angry, when I'm surprised. It’s like "fish!!! You scared the shit out of me" or "fish; I love it" or "fish man!!! I can't open it". A friend of mine once asked me if that was the first word I uttered as a kid. I never get over with it just overflows from my mouth. And its not my first time, I was once overflowing with the word "actually" and "okay", tried hard to leave them behind and I did succeed but this time these words seem to be glued on my tongue.

This is not my problem, everyone around us is facing it, and it’s like a revolution. And the worst of all is the "SMS lingo", the language we use to text each other. It has made its place in our notebooks beside our cell phones. Like "u" in place of "you", "wen" in place of "when", "ASAP" in place of "as soon as possible". I was going through my brother's notebook and all those words like "u, wen, dey, yrs, g8, so on..." were written, well that is something that the Oxford dictionary won't welcome but this is the modern lexicon.
